This is a song I wrote with the inspiration from an old high school friend who lives within the vicinity of the fires burning in California.  May all be safe out there.

Let the rain come down
let this be our fate
extinguish the flames
before its too late

scorched earth landscape
the winds blow without shame
torched until you must escape
the winds fan the flames

a deluge must come first
skies make a thundering sound
may God send a cloud burst
may he send the rain down

let it rain 2x

no rhyme or reason
on who it takes its toll
we must keep believing
we must not lose hold
