He didn’t want to see her suffer
he didn’t want to see her go

he just wanted her to know
that she meant so much to him
for her he’s willing to die
but things were getting awfully grim
he could only sit and helplessly cry
so he fell to his knees
and he prayed to a god he didn’t believe in
desperate and alone was he

the illness was consuming
all the strength that she had
it seemed there was no renewing
it seemed there was no chance
the doctors said they were doing all they can
he knew that that was all true
but he wasn’t the type to sit on her hands
but there was nothing left for him to do
and he felt the darkness inside him
was probably the casue
for all the things that tried him
for all that was so wrong
and he asked to be forgiven
and that her battle be won
he would start from the beginning
and do as he always should have done
in the end she recovered
and his joy was immense
he so intensely loved her
