The Descent of Ham
Your shadow leads when you walk away from the light
when you walk to the light your shadow follows
he was a ham that didn’t mean he was a pig
he had a lot of potential
there was a lot of good in him, but as things went on
he collapsed a little bit more
every inch of the way down a little farther
his environment started to go to hell
his morals started to go to hell
he was a ham that didn’t mean he was a pig
And Ham would say “people said things were so much better in the old days”
but Ham didn’t believe that
things weren’t perfect but overall things got better
Ham had that hope
sometimes he wondered if he actually believed it but its what he spoke
but he continued his descent
he continued to collapse
the things that were supporting him grew weak
the things he could afford grew few
and he wouldn’t ask for help he felt that meant he was weak
although he would never tell someone else that
he would say “ it takes a strong man to ask for help”
but he couldn’t do it himself
the descent continued
he was a ham that didn’t mean he was a pig
